Ed Gilmore has been a photographer and graphic artist for over 25 years. Pursuing a career as a commercial advertising photographer with a studio in San Francisco, he produced many award winning images, noted for their graphic impact, for countless clients. He is an avid naturalist and world traveler who finds the rich palette of nature's beauty to be a constant source of creative inspiration.

Ed has also privately studied watercolor painting for many years . In a moment of creative experimentation he fused his passion for graphic photographic images and painting to develop a technique that utilizes photography, digital enhancement, and painting.

The prints exhibited here represent more than three years of work. This time frame coincides with a major change in his life, namely moving from his native California to Italy, where he now resides with his wife.

His love of his new country is apparent in the series of rich graphic images created originally as photographs and transformed into unique artistic impressions.

Each original work has been reproduced as a limited edition by a master lithographer in Italy, using a heavyweight canvas/linen textured paper which yields a stunning final effect.
